Soroban Intelligent Mental Arithmetic (SIMA) Abacus Academy is an educational group that focuses on whole Brain Development. SIMA Abacus Academy offers a scientifically-proven whole brain development and enhancement programme for children, from the ages of 3 to 13 years. The Programme draws out and unleashes the latent mental power in these children at an early age when brain development is reaching its peak.

SIMA is more than a Mental Maths programme!
SIMA Abacus is not another mental maths programme, but uses the Abacus and Mental Maths as its Brain Development process. It is a sort of brain gymnastics that strengthens and builds brain power in children.
SIMA Abacus learners are trained with the tool “SIMA Abacus”. By constantly manipulating the SIMA Abacus, students develop more neurons in their brain via the stimuli provided to the brain cells by the series of contacts the tips of the fingers make with the SIMA Abacus.
By working on the Imaginary SIMA Abacus during mental calculation, students acquire Imagination and Visualisation skills, these skills naturally leads to CREATIVITY.
Besides creativity, imagination and visualisation, skills such as Concentration, Retentive memory, Listening & Comprehension, Observation, Reasoning, Self-confidence, Speed & Accuracy are acquired, developed and easily applied by these SIMA students. Once learners acquire these skills through the SIMA Abacus programme, they naturally and unconsciously replicate them in other life activities such schooling, thereby laying strong foundation for academic excellence.

The SIMA Abacus
SIMA Abacus Academy has the right on the “SIMA Abacus” which is a 1/4 red and green coloured beads abacus. The right brain hemisphere through its photosensitive vision to the red and green colours of the SIMA Abacus will help the cerebrum to form stronger and clearer image of the beads on the right brain thereby facilitating smooth and correct movements of the beads on the imaginary abacus.
Using the SIMA Abacus device, learners achieve higher level Speed and Accuracy in the study and application of Abacus & Mental-Maths.
